Admission criteria and procedure

The laurea magistrale degree is the Italian equivalent of a master's degree. To attain your degree you must earn 120 CFU/ECTS in a two-year programme.

Admission criteria

You can apply for admission for the laurea magistrale program if you have a laurea degree or any title that is equivalent to a bachelor's degree that accounts for 180 CFU/ECTS.

Necessary criteria

Computer Science is a natural course of study for students with a bachelor in Computer Science but we welcome students from different areas of Science and Engineering provided that they have at least 50% credits in:

  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Math
  • Physics
  • Statistics

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for enrollment you need adequate:

The adequacy of both criteria will be assessed during the enrolment procedure.

The documents required to pre-enroll are:

  1. Bachelor degree (original or certified photocopy)
  2. Official translation in Italian of 1.
  3. Dichiarazione di valore (issued by the Italian embassy or Consulate in the country in which the Bachelor has been obtained)
  4. Certificate with the detailed subjects and exams taken to obtain the degree (original)
  5. Official translation in Italian of 4. (not needed if in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese)
  6. Syllabus (confirmed with the original stamp of the University on each page) of each exam included in the foreign curriculum.
  7. Official translation in Italian of 6. (not needed if in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese)

The aim at this stage is to check that you hold the minimal prerequisites deemed necessary to proficiently attend the program. Please send us an a email with the following requests and we will get in contact with you within one week:

  • Name
  • Last name
  • Country of origin
  • if you are a EU Citizen with italian BSc or EU Citizen with foreign BSc or Non-EU Citizen legally resident in Italy (please provide a copy of your residence permit) or Non-EU Citizen resident abroad
  • BSc type
  • Graduation year
  • Institution URL
  • Chosen academic track: Business Intelligence; Health and Life Science; Pervasive Computing; Visual Computing
  • One-line motivation for the track of your choice
  • copy of you BSc degree in PDF format
  • list of exams in PDF format
  • short CV in PDF format
  • copy of your passport page with photo and ID data

Keep in mind that the outcome of this stage is up to our national contact point and does not depend on us.

In case of positive outcome our administration (and you) will be notified that you have been pre-enrolled.

Enrollment, including payment of university fee, if due, will actually take place in the Fall.
